Obituary: Roy Handley (QM 1938-44)

Roy Passed away in late 2021 aged 94. He was a senior cadet in the CCF here at QMGS and was later commissioned in the Staffordshire Regiment following on from that he become C.O. of King Edward V1, Lichfield CCF.

Known in adulthood by his pupils as ‘Tommy’ Handley ( after WW2 ‘ITMA’Comedian, Tommy Handley) he was a well-respected history master at King Edward V1 Lichfield. In later life, Roy became a train enthusiast, a hobby which he enjoyed until he moved to the Spires Care Home in Lichfield after his wife passed away. Whilst in the care home he was an active member of the community until his passing.
